Apple has released a brand new 18.1 software update for both HomePod and HomePod mini – download it today.
New 18.1 Software Update Now Available for HomePod and HomePod mini
HomePod updates are always short and sweet. This one’s no different and this is the entire changelog of the update:
This update includes performance and stability improvements.
In order to download the new HomePod 18.1 update, all you have to do is launch the ‘Home’ app, click or tap on the ‘options’ button on the top right, scroll down, open ‘Software Update.’
Once here, you can update all your HomePods immediately.
I would suggest not tinkering around with anything and let the updates install automatically on their own. That’s how I do it and it works for me every single time.
The thing that surprised me most is this – the new 18.1 update is also available for the original HomePod. Given Apple doesn’t manufacture it, sell it and considers it vintage, and yet released a software update for it is simply amazing.
