iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 6 software updates are now available for download with Apple Intelligence for iPhone and iPad.
Apple Releases iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 Beta 6 for Download as it Inches Closer to Final Release
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is all set for release at the end of this month. Today, those testing out iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 5 can download beta 6 which brings us one step close to final release.
As usual, you can download the new update by following the steps outlined below:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to a Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure you have 50% ore more battery life remaining. If not, then connect your device to a power source.
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app and navigate to General > Software Update.
- Tap on ‘Update Now’ when iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 shows up for download.
When we are this close to the final release, Apple usually starts focusing on bug fixes and performance enhancements. If there is anything new and noteworthy in this update, I will highlight it, most definitely.
Apple Intelligence is at the core of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1. Those who have been patiently waiting for this update just have to wait a little while longer before everything becomes publicly available.
You do have the choice to download and install the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 public beta. Given how close we are to the final release, I will advise against it, unless you really, really want to try out Apple Intelligence and see what the hype is all about. Just make sure you backup everything before going ahead.
