Apple has released a brand new iPhone 16 Pro ad highlighting everything the Camera Control button does.
Camera Control is Not Just a Shutter Button on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro – Apple Shows us Everything it Can Do
So far, Camera Control has been a polarizing little addition to the iPhone 16 lineup. Some users find it useful, some believe pressing the on-screen capture button is a far convenient option.
No matter how you see it, it’s an option you can make use of whenever you feel like. Once you master it, you’ll be using it more than on-screen controls, that’s for sure.
In its latest iPhone 16 Pro ad, Apple highlights said button and shows us everything it can do. From zooming in to the subject to changing the aperture while shooting portraits, it’s a one-stop solution for all the Camera app essentials.

There’s definitely a learning curve to this button, I’ll give you that. But, I’ve seen posts and videos where users have absolutely mastered it and swear by it rather than change settings by touching the iPhone display.
The one thing I find useful about this button is plain and simple – it frees up the Action Button for something else since you now have a dedicated camera button. And for those who don’t know, if you set the Action Button as the Camera app shortcut, pressing once will launch the Camera app and pressing it again will shoot a photo.
