Apple released iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 6 just a while ago and here’s everything that is new and noteworthy.
New Toggle Switches in Control Center to Sleep Apnea Notifications, Here’s Everything New in iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 Beta 6
Whenever a new beta for iPhone and iPad drops, it is always accompanied by a small change or two. With iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 6, things aren’t different, once again.
Apart from the usual bug fixes, improvements to Apple Intelligence, here’s everything new in this update:
New AirDrop and Satellite Toggle Switches in Control Center
Pull down Control Center and add a new toggle switch and you now have two new ones to choose from – AirDrop and Satellite. Apple has also added a couple of new options for Measure if you want to quickly measure something or just want to use the level function of your iPhone.
Sleep Apnea Notifications are Now Available
A feature that was announced alongside the new Apple Watch, sleep apnea notifications are finally available. You can activate it from the Health app and your iPhone or Apple Watch will notify you if it detects sleep apnea while you are asleep. It does require a compatible Apple Watch.
Apple Intelligence Comes to Notes
When you’re typing a new note in the Notes app, you’ll see a new Apple Intelligence icon in the row above the keyboard. Once you tap on that icon, Apple Intelligence will proofread your note and make corrections if needed.
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend that you go ahead and download beta 6 on your iPhone and iPad right away. Even if you aren’t bothered by the above new additions, you do get a bunch of bug fixes for iPhone and iPad.
The full and final version of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is set for release at the end of this month. If you’ve waited this much for Apple Intelligence, you should be pleased to learn that the wait is almost over.
