Apple has just released iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 public beta 3 for iPhone and iPad devices, and here’s how you can download it.
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 Public Beta 3 Now Available for Download with Same Changes as Developer Beta 6
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 public beta 3 has the same changes as developer beta 6. If you already have public beta 2 installed on your iPhone and iPad, here’s what you need to do in order to update to public beta 3:
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network and make sure you have 50% or more battery life remaining.
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app and go to General > Software Update.
- Download iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 public beta 3 when it becomes available.
If you are downloading the public beta for the first time, you can follow the tutorial posted here. Given how close we are to the final release of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, I wouldn’t recommend installing it, unless you are really thirsty to try out Apple Intelligence.
The process for downloading the public beta is easy – you start off by signing up to the beta.apple.com website using your Apple Account and then enable beta updates on your iPhone or iPad by going to Settings > General > Beta Updates.
Again, it’s entirely your call if you want to try out the new iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 updates. Do keep in mind you must have a device compatible with Apple Intelligence in order to test out the new AI features.
