The iPhone 16 Pro is doing really well among buyers and the demand for it remains pretty strong.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Popular Among Buyers, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, Not so Much
Though the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are very similar in terms of performance, but it seems as though buyers have made their choice regarding which phone they are going to get – it’s the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, China is producing the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max during National Day holiday. Given there are no breaks at all shows China is working overtime to keep up with demand, which is definitely a positive sign for Apple.
On the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus side of the spectrum, things aren’t looking great compared to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus from last year. The sales are being dubbed as ‘lackluster.’ Definitely not a good thing.
Interestingly, demand for the Pro lineup remains similar to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max from last year, and those phones did really good. Seeing the trend this year means Apple’s ‘pro’ strategy worked this year, or at least, so far it did.
If features like Apple Intelligence were the sole driving factors behind sales then everything would have been consistent across the board. But, given people are opting for the higher-end model instead more, looks like everyone cares more about having an extra camera and a faster refresh-rate screen.
Things can change all of a sudden when Apple Intelligence becomes available on all compatible devices later this month. But honestly, I will be surprised if it actually does anything at all. If someone is to buy a phone for AI only, they would do it right now, rather than wait a few weeks.
