A bug in iPhone 16 Pro is causing the phone to freeze and then quickly restart. No-one knows exactly why this is happening.

Is Your iPhone 16 Pro Randomly Restarting? You’re Not Alone as Many Users are Facing this Issue

Bugs are part and parcel of new hardware and software. It’s something that can’t be avoided and the iPhone 16 Pro finds itself at the center of a brand new problem.

According to different users on the internet, their iPhone 16 Pro randomly freezes and then restarts. Sometimes it restarts multiple times during the day, sometimes it does it occasionally. Sometimes, it restarts while in StandBy mode.

Some users had their phones replaced from Apple, only for the issue to surface again. However, some users report that doing a fresh install without opting for an iCloud restore helps, so there is a chance that the issue is related to Apple cloud service, or more generally the software itself.

But again, that too is absolutely unclear.

The thing that makes this issue strange is this – whether you’re on iOS 18.0.1 or the iOS 18.1 beta, the issue happens which means if it’s a software problem, it remains unpatched in the latest update.

Now, if you’ve already tried everything and don’t know what to do, try a clean install without an iCloud restore. If the issue is actually gone after the restore, it will be a huge relief. If the issue still exists, you’ve found a new solution that doesn’t work.

Until we hear something official from Apple, it’s very hard to take a guess where the issue actually lies.
