The M4 MacBook Pro has been leaked once again on YouTube and this time the ‘About This Mac’ screen was shown off, too.
Apple M4 MacBook Pro Unboxed Again, Features 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD and M4 Chip
It seems as though yesterday’s leak regarding the M4 MacBook Pro was legit after all as another video of an unboxing and quick look has surfaced on YouTube. The YouTuber shows around the box of the MacBook Pro and takes us into the ‘About this Mac’ section revealing the specs of the notebook, including the M4 chip and 16GB of RAM.
That RAM bit is important since the notebook shown in the video below is the base model with the M4 chip, not M4 Pro or M4 Max. The M3 MacBook Pro currently ships with 8GB of RAM, not 16GB, hence the upgrade is definitely new.
The MacBook Pro box confirms the notebook ships with 512GB of storage, which is not new compared to the M3 model which also ships with the same amount of storage.
The interesting thing to note here is how the notebook is called the ‘November 2024’ model. This means the rumored October event is definitely happening and the 1st of November launch date is likely true as well.
I have seen a lot of leaks in my life but never ever seen anything like this. We are just over 20 days from launch of the new MacBook Pro and people already have it in their hands. I am not sure how Apple is going to manage this, if they will, at all.
At this point, there’s no point in seeing further leaks regarding the new MacBook Pro. We pretty much know what to expect from the notebook. It’s the same as the current M3 model but with a faster chip and twice the RAM. It’s definitely a worthy upgrade for someone who is looking to upgrade from a M1 MacBook Pro or an Intel one.
The only thing that will be exciting is when Apple announces the notebook by adding its own marketing sauce at the top.
