More details regarding the iPhone SE 4 have been leaked and the features list includes Apple’s first 5G modem.
iPhone SE 4 Features Leaked: A18, 8GB RAM, 6.1-inch OLED Display, Apple’s Own 5G Modem, 48-Megapixel Camera, More
It’s no secret that Apple has been working on its own 5G modem for a long time. In fact, Apple is working on its own Wi-Fi chip as well.
A new report from 9to5Mac sheds light on the features of iPhone SE 4, and it says it’s going to be Apple’s first smartphone to feature the company’s own 5G modem. That’s actually a big move as it goes to show the company has finally cracked the code regarding wireless connectivity.
The phone is also said to feature in-house Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as well.
In terms of design, the new iPhone SE will look similar to the iPhone 14, flat sides and all. Apple has a knack for salvaging old parts to create new devices and this is a great move no matter how you see it since it brings the iPhone SE to a modern era.
On the display front, it will have a 6.1-inch OLED panel with Face ID at the top. There is going to be a notch at the top of the display – no Dynamic Island here. Looks like Apple is not ready to bring the feature to a lower price point just yet. But, don’t worry, it will ultimately salvage it to a future model.
Apple Intelligence is going to be a key feature of the new iPhone SE. The phone is said to feature Apple’s latest A18 chip and will even have 8GB of RAM which is the same amount of memory as Apple’s flagship iPhone 16 lineup.
When it comes to cameras, the new iPhone SE 4 is said to feature the same 48-megapixel camera from the iPhone 15. Apparently, there won’t be an ultra-wide camera at the back. Kinda reminds me of the iPhone XR with its single camera at the rear.
The one thing that will definitely make this phone great is the price point. If Apple manages to keep the entire package under $499, it will be a wonderful alternative to the flagship lineup.
