Apple Pay is now 10 years old. Though there’s a lot to celebrate, the biggest news is the upcoming PayPal integration.
Apple Announces PayPal Integration Coming to Apple Wallet Next Year in United States
It’s been 10 years since Apple Pay was launched. Believe it or not, it made its debut with iOS 8.1 back in October of 2014. Time definitely flies, I’ll give you that.
Apple has posted a very long press release celebrating these 10 years, and how it plans to improve things going forward. You’ll find a bunch of achievements in the press release, including what people love about the service – the usual stuff, really.
Over time, the service has expanded to several countries and it continues to expand even as I write this. However, the biggest news, in my opinion, is PayPal integration, which is set to launch next year in the United States. This means you can link your PayPal debit card to Apple Wallet and see your balance from there, exactly how it should be.
Apple didn’t go too far explaining what we can expect from this integration but hey, it’s good news in its current shape. If you have a PayPal account, you will be able to see your balance right from Apple Wallet, the one place you store all your cards.
