The leaks are definitely real as the unreleased M4 MacBook Pro went up for sale online for a jaw-dropping price of $7,500.
Apple’s Yet-to-be-Released M4 MacBook Pro Goes up for Sale on a Classified Ads Site for $7,500
Of course, that’s not the official price of the M4 MacBook Pro and the seller was cashing in on the opportunity by putting the notebook up for sale for 720,000 rubles, which is equivalent to about $7,500.
But, the leak is definitely real and the new MacBook Pro will be available with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and everything else we saw before. The current base M3 model MacBook Pro is available with just 8GB of RAM.
The MacBook Pro went up for sale on a Russian ad site called Avito, as revealed by ApplePro on X. It was not just one listing, but several of them. However, they were all taken down since the site does not allow selling things that have not been released officially.
Apparently, there are about 200 of these MacBook Pros floating around in the wild. This is probably the biggest leak in Apple’s history, apart from the iPhone 4. However, people may not treat it like a big deal since it’s just a laptop and not a star product like the iPhone.
Nonetheless, Apple is definitely going to have a word with its supply chain about this. Such things can really sour relationships between the buyer and seller.
Apple is expected to announce this new MacBook Pro at the end of October and will ship the notebook in November.
