watchOS 11.1, tvOS 18.1 and visionOS 2.1 RC is Now Available for Download Ahead of Next Week’s Final Release
The wait is finally over and you can expect the full and final version of watchOS 11.1, tvOS 18.1 and visionOS 2.1 to arrive on your Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro next week.
Today, the Cupertino company has released a bunch of RC builds which is final software meant for developers and public beta testers only. If you are either one of them, you can download the updates over the air, right now.
Update: watchOS 11.1 RC is not available for download. I will update this post wit new information once the update is out.
If you want to download watchOS 11.1 RC right now, here’s what you need to do:
- Place your Apple Watch on its charger and make sure it has 50% or more battery life.
- Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network.
- Launch the ‘Watch’ app on your iPhone.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Let the page refresh and watchOS 11.1 RC will show up for download.
tvOS 18.1 RC is also available for download over the air. Here’s what you have to do:
- Turn on your Apple TV.
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app from the Home Screen.
- Go to System > Software Update.
- Download tvOS 18.1 RC from here.
Last but not the least, you can download and install visionOS 2.1 RC over the air as well and you can start things off by connecting your Vision Pro to a power source first. Once done, follow these steps:
- Launch the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Download visionOS 2.1 RC when it shows up.
