According to the latest rumor, the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17 Slim, will have a 120Hz display.

Apple is Working to Bring LTPO Displays to the Entire iPhone 17 Lineup Next Year, this Means 120Hz Across the Board

Currently, the 120Hz display is exclusive to the iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max. Called ProMotion, it seems as though this ‘Pro’ feature is finally coming to the entire iPhone lineup with the iPhone 17.

This deduction can be easily made by the fact that the entire iPhone 17 lineup is going to utilize LTPO displays, according to ETNews. What this means is that Apple is definitely working to bring 120Hz to the entire lineup rather than keep it exclusive to a couple of models.

The report says that both LG and Samsung will be supplying these LTPO displays for the iPhone 17.

Do keep in mind this isn’t the first time we get a hint of 120Hz displays coming to the entire iPhone 17 lineup. We have heard about it on multiple occasions. One report even said Apple will bring the always-on display feature to the standard iPhone 17 models as well, a feature that is currently only available on the iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max.

Given the news we’ve been hearing about the next iPhone lineup, all phones are going to have very similar specs in keys areas. However, the one thing that will always make the standard iPhone model inferior is the chip that powers it. I’m pretty sure Apple is going to use the A19 in the standard lineup and the A19 Pro in the Pro lineup. And when I say standard, I’m counting the iPhone 17 Slim, too.

Rumors do suggest the iPhone 17 lineup is going to be a massive upgrade compared to the current iPhone 16 lineup of phones. And if previous release cycles are anything to go by, when you start to realize the phones are way too boring for the year, the next one is usually a better upgrade.

Let’s hope this is true for next year.
