If you’re hoping that Apple will release AirPods Max soon, just don’t, according to a brand-new report.
Apple’s isn’t Planning to Release a Brand New Pair of AirPods Max Headphones
Apple surprised everyone with a refresh to AirPods Max back in September. However, it was just a refresh to make room for USB-C, nothing else.
The company even gave it a fresh coat of paint to make it more enticing than usual.
However, according to a new report by Bloomberg, Apple is not going to release an entirely revamped AirPods Max with a brand-new set of features and changes.
The reason for that is actually very interesting too. The company believes it’s not a hot-selling item enough to justify a big upgrade, and not quite a bad seller enough to justify getting rid of it completely.
I understand where Apple is coming from with this, and it’s a sound business decision too. But just adding a USB-C port to the headphones and calling it a day is just lazy work where there was room for much more.
Given how iconic the AirPods Max are at this point, a small upgrade to the H2 chip would have been enough of an upgrade, in my opinion. Nothing else needs to change at all.
Is that really too much to ask for?
Given we just got the AirPods Max ‘upgrade,’ it’s best not to think about the next one for at least a year.
