Just like iOS 18.1.1 and iPadOS 18.1.1, Apple has released macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 with security fixes. Download it right away.

macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 Now Available for Download with Security Fixes for All Compatible Mac Computers

If you are using your Mac and have some time to spare, I will highly recommend downloading and installing macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 right now.

It packs a bunch of security fixes that are extremely important, and they ensure that your Mac and your personal data stay absolutely safe.

According to Apple:

This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users.

In order to download macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 right now on your Mac, all you have to do is launch ‘System Settings,’ go to ‘General,’ then ‘Software Update.’ Click on ‘Update Now’ to initiate the download and installation.

Just like any other macOS software update, this one is going to download pretty quickly but take a long time to install. Whether you have an Intel Mac or something with Apple silicon inside, you’ll be waiting— that’s for sure.

Do keep in mind that this update does not include any new features at all and has nothing to do with macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta. The full and final version of macOS 15.2 is said to be ready for release sometime in December.

If you are interested in taking macOS Sequoia 15.2 for a spin instead, you can do so absolutely free by signing up for the Beta Software Program.

Immediately after installing the update, you can test out new features such as Image Playground, Genmoji, and support for ChatGPT in Siri. It’s a big upgrade and one that will make your Mac way more useful than it currently is.

ChatGPT support on the Mac is going to be a huge deal since Apple users can finally have a chatbot that is ready to answer any question they might have.

Image Playground and Genmoji, on the other hand, are definitely going to shape up the internet going forward with all sorts of weird and interesting images produced by clever prompts.
