It’s a new day, and the Vision Pro 2 gets a mention once again when it comes to the release time frame.
Expect the Vision Pro 2 to be Released Some Time Between Fall of 2025 and Spring of 2026
With every passing minute, one thing is now abundantly clear – the cheaper Vision headset is not happening any time soon. But the Vision Pro 2 is definitely happening sooner rather than later.
According to Mark Gurman in his latest PowerOn newsletter, the Vision Pro 2 is all set for release between fall 2025 and spring 2026. I mean, sure, that’s not very specific, but if you were eager to know when the headset will arrive, you now have a rough idea at best.
Apple’s Vision headset is in a very strange position. Reports suggest it is not doing well among consumers due to its high price point. But Apple remains thoroughly committed to it.
That commitment gives me hope that there will be a cheaper Vision headset. However, recent reports paint an image that Apple is not going to release the headset until it has gotten everything right.
The thing is, Apple just doesn’t want to bring the price down, make compromises, and release the headset. The cheaper headset needs to hold value before it can be released to consumers for purchase.
Apparently, Apple is just not there with the headset and has decided to delay it.
The next Vision Pro is going to include the M5 chip, which will introduce a huge boost in performance and bring Apple Intelligence to the table.
One thing is clear – the current Vision Pro is not getting any artificial intelligence features at all. If there was even a slightly hint from Apple, it would have made the news.
With the release of VisionOS 2 and the release of Apple Intelligence in general to the public, Apple remains absolutely silent when it comes to these features for the current Vision Pro.
