Apple has just released beta 2 of VisionOS 2.2 for Vision Pro and it is available over the air for download.
Latest visionOS 2.2 Beta 2 Update Out Now for Download
Yesterday, Apple released a bunch of new software updates, including iOS 18.2, macOS Sierra 15.2, and more. However, in all the noise, people noticed VisionOS 2.2 was missing.
Today, Apple has released beta 2 of visionOS 2.2, and if you’ve been testing out the update on your Vision Pro, you can download it right away.
In order to download the latest beta, all you have to do is go to Settings > General > Software Update. The latest visionOS 2.2 beta will show up right here.
Despite being an exciting product, the Vision Pro doesn’t have a good software shelf life at all. I’m saying this because it will likely never get the Apple Intelligence update at all.
It seems as though Apple is going to release all the AI features for the next-generation Vision Pro, which is set to be powered by the M5 chip and will be released sometime between 2025 and 2026.
Deep down, I secretly hope the current Vision Pro gets all the Apple Intelligence features it deserves. But since we all have zero clue regarding Apple’s plans for it, it’s very hard to speculate anything right now.
