Apple is working on a completely redesigned Magic Mouse with touch and voice controls, set for release in 2026.

New Magic Mouse with Improved Ergonomics, Touch and Voice Control Coming in 2026

The Magic Mouse got a silly little upgrade to USB-C just a while back. Nothing else changed at all.

Those who already own the Lightning version of the Magic Mouse, you’re absolutely fine with what you currently have.

However, if this new leak is anything to go by, Apple is set to take things to the next level. Apple plans to do this by introducing a completely redesigned Magic Mouse.

This mouse is set to be released in 2026, alongside the M6 MacBook Pro with an OLED display. It will incorporate some sort of touch and voice control built in and will address the charging port issue too.

When it comes to the ‘touch’ part, we can all assume that it will support new gestures which the current mouse isn’t able to pull off for some reason.

However, the most important upgrade is the design and ergonomics. This means the Magic Mouse is going to look different from a distance, at long last.

Not only that, the new mouse should be far more comfortable to use too.

Now, with all that said, this is just a rumor and you should take it with a pinch of salt, nothing more.

Though everyone wants a new Magic Mouse, accessories like these take a while to get overhauled. There is even a chance such a Magic Mouse might not see the day at all.
