iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 final update for iPhone and iPad are now available for download. Here’s how you can install them.
Apple Releases iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2 with New Apple Intelligence Features, Download it Today on iPhone and iPad
Apple has just released the full and final version of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 updates for both iPhone and iPad devices.
Though the update is available for everyone, do keep in mind that only newer devices get the new Apple Intelligence features. This includes Image Playground, Genmoji, Visual Intelligence, support for ChatGPT, and more.
You can read about the new features by going to this link.
Downloading iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 is super duper easy. All you have to do is head over to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone and iPad, and then tap on Update Now.
Clean installation is also an option. Start things off by taking a complete backup of everything, and then follow the tutorial posted here.
Though there are plenty of features to dive into, the thing I will suggest trying out first is ChatGPT support. Just ask Siri the wildest question you can think of, and then let ChatGPT do the rest.
If you have a ChatGPT Plus account, make sure you sign into that as well, allowing you to get unlimited replies from ChatGPT.
Those who don’t own a device compatible with Apple Intelligence, you should be pleased to learn that your iPhone and iPad should see improved performance and stability across the board.
Several users reported a bunch of stability improvements after the RC updates were released, and it only makes sense that those changes are reflected in the final release too.
Speaking of which, if you already have the RC update installed on your device, you don’t have to worry about installing anything today. The RC update is the final build that was seeded to everyone testing the beta.
However, I will recommend doing one thing. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and then select Off. Once you do this, no new beta updates will be delivered to you over the air.
Do keep in mind Apple is still working on a bunch of updates for iPhone and iPad. Expect the company to release iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 beta updates very soon.
You can expect these updates to bring even more Apple Intelligence features to the iPhone and iPad.
