Here’s everything that is new in iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 Sequoia beta updates for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 Sequoia Beta Add a Bunch of Useful Features to the Mix – Here’s Everything New
Apple released iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 a while back for developers. It’s a surprise update because I was expecting it to arrive in January, no sooner than that.
Now that it’s here, let’s have a quick look at everything that is new in these updates. Let’s start with macOS 15.3 Sequoia.
Genmoji Comes to the Mac
You will be able to create custom emojis using Apple Intelligence on your Mac with Genmoji. The feature was not a part of macOS 15.2, but it is finally coming with macOS 15.3.
With that out of the way, let’s have a look at the update for iPhone and iPad.
Support for Robot Vacuums in HomeKit
In the latest betas, Apple has added support for HomeKit-compatible robot vacuums. This was a long time coming, and I’m glad the feature is finally here.
New ‘Type to Siri’ Icon in Control Center
If you add the ‘Type to Siri’ icon in Control Center, it’s no longer an icon of the keyboard, and instead uses the Siri logo, which makes more sense since that’s exactly what you’re calling up.
Refinements to Image Playground
Different users report that Image Playground has changed the way it conjures up images, and it’s slightly different than how it is in iOS 18.2. Whether it’s a good change or a neutral one remains to be seen as the update gets in the hands of more users.
Bug Fixes and Other Changes
Apart from the above changes, you can expect bug fixes and other improvements in this release.
Do keep in mind that this is an extremely early beta and things will be added and removed as more updates arrive.
However, given the features and changes in this release, it’s safe to assume these new updates focus more on stability and bug fixes than anything else.
