Instagram is Set to Revolutionize Social Media with its AI Video Editing Tools – Coming Next Year
At the time of writing, we get basic video editing tools in Instagram to fine-tune our post before uploading it to our audience. Features like cutting video clips, adding or removing sound – it’s all here.
However, all of that is about to change with an upcoming feature.
Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, has announced that it is bringing ‘AI video editing’ to Instagram. This means you can upload a video clip to Instagram, type in some prompts, and AI will edit your video however you like.
You can change your clothes, your face, background, add jewelry, and so much more. The possibilities are endless given how good AI has gotten lately.
Once you see the demo video Adam has posted here, you’ll be absolutely blown away.
Now, I have a few thoughts on this.
First and foremost, this is mind-boggling stuff. Creators can really take their content to the next level by simple word prompts. You don’t need to learn fancy tricks or software just to add or remove a small detail from your video; AI can help you achieve anything you like.
Secondly, such a feature really one-ups everyone else out there, including Apple who is currently limited to just generating images on-device.
However, at the same time, we can expect a lot of ‘fake’ content in the coming years once this feature is in the hands of everyone.
