Apple is apparently going to launch the iPad 11 in spring with iPadOS 18.3 pre-installed along with some key features.
iPad 11 Launching in Spring with iPadOS 18.3, Apple Intelligence and In-House 5G Modem
According to MacRumors, Apple is going to ship the new iPad 11 sometime in Spring, something which has been reported earlier too, and it will ship with the brand-new iPadOS 18.3 software update.
Currently in beta, the iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 updates don’t bring new features to the table at all, and instead focus on bug fixes and very small changes.
In terms of features, the new iPad is said to ship with Apple’s very own 5G modem that will support speeds of up to 4Gbps over cellular.
Though it doesn’t need to be said at this point, it will definitely ship with Apple Intelligence as well. I’ll just take a leap of faith and say it may feature the A17 Pro chip from the iPad mini 7 to enable AI features.
I’m quite certain Apple has a ton of chips lying around in its parts bin to easily create an entry-level iPad with Apple Intelligence while maintaining the same price point of $349.
Quite some time back, we also came across an interesting report that said Apple is working on a brand-new keyboard accessory for the entry-level iPad as well.
I’m sure the new iPad will look similar to the tenth-generation model. But if there’s one change I am hoping to see is the removal of the air gap between the touch layer and the LCD.
But, I believe that’s not going away any time soon.
