According to the latest report, Apple’s HomePod with built-in display is slightly delayed and will launch in late 2025.
Apple’s HomePod with Display has been Delayed to Late 2025 Due to Software Development Challenges
It’s no secret that Apple is working on a smart display for the home, which is best described as a ‘HomePod with a display.’
According to the latest report by Ming-Chi Kuo, the HomePod with display has been delayed until late 2025.
Apple is expected to announce this product either at WWDC 2025 or in Q3 of 2025. Since WWDC is a software-only event, it’s better to assume the product might see the light of day later than that.
Interestingly, the delay in launch is linked to software development, not the hardware itself. Ming-Chi Kuo also says that the device will feature an A18 processor, a 6-7-inch display, and it will ship with Apple Intelligence.
Apple is said to be working on several versions of this product. The one mentioned above is likely the base model, with a higher-end model with a robotic arm also in the works.
One thing is clear: Apple wants to bring Apple Intelligence to more places rather than the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It makes perfect sense that Apple would make a HomePod with a built-in display.
So far, the product has been delayed three times already. It remains to be seen if there’s a fourth delay as well.
