Apple is going to release the M5 iPad Pro next year, and the tablet is said to go into mass production in the second half of 2025.

M5 iPad Pro will Go into Mass Production in Second Half of 2025

If the tablet is going into mass production in the second half of 2025, this means Apple is going to upgrade the iPad Pro after 18 months (or more) rather than an year.

This is absolutely normal, as Apple gives the iPad Pro a lot of time in the hands of consumers before announcing the next one.

The news was shared by Ming-Chi Kuo on Medium alongside the news that Apple’s HomePod with a display will go on sale in late 2025.

In case you’re wondering, the M4 iPad Pro was launched back in May of 2024. Given that the M5 iPad Pro is going into production in the second half of 2025, you can rest assured that the current model has a lot of life left in it.

The M4 iPad Pro is a major refresh compared to the outgoing M2 model, this means Apple is likely going to stick with the same chassis with the M5 version next year.

However, the move to M5 should add extra muscle strength to the iPad Pro and should help with Apple Intelligence performance even further.

Alongside the introduction of the M5 chip, we can also expect the company to announce the M5 Vision Pro sometime next year or early 2026.
