A report suggests that the iPhone SE 4 smartphone may see a slight increase in price when it hits the market.

iPhone SE 4 Might be a Little Expensive But Will Sell for Under $500, According to New Report

Apple is currently selling the iPhone SE for a price of $429. That’s for a fully unlocked model, too.

However, if a new report is anything to go by, then Apple might bump up the price a little. But the price would be under $500.

According to yeux1122, who cites Japanese sources, Apple is planning to price the iPhone SE 4 below $500, but it will be priced around $540 in Korea.

Keeping that in mind, we should see the iPhone SE 4 price close to around $500 in the United States. However, there is a chance Apple may price it around $479 instead.

Just speculating on the $479 here.

While the price increase might seem like ‘bad news,’ I don’t see it that way at all.

See, the thing is, the iPhone SE represents extremely good value for money. Given that the upcoming SE is said to embrace a brand-new design, an OLED display, Face ID, Apple’s own 5G modem, fantastic cameras, USB-C, and more.

The new iPhone SE is also rumored to get Apple Intelligence features. In other words, you’re getting the flagship experience for a way less price, that too on a device that will get years of software updates.

As long as Apple keeps the price within $500, I believe the iPhone SE is going to be a fantastic device to buy.

I have never been a fan of the iPhone SE, and it’s somewhat hard to recommend given its old design. Thankfully, with the upcoming refresh, things are shaping up nicely, and the SE may become the star hit in the entry-level market.

If all recent reports are anything to go by, Apple should launch the iPhone SE 4 around March.
