Apple has just released visionOS 2.2 beta 4 for Vision Pro, and you can download it right now over the air.
You Can Now Download visionOS 2.2 Beta 4 for Vision Pro with More Bug Fixes
Pretty much everyone was expecting Apple to release the RC version of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 today, but it didn’t happen. At least, so far into the day, it has not.
However, Apple took the opportunity to release visionOS 2.2 beta 4 instead, and if you’ve been testing out beta 3 for a while, here’s what you should do to download the latest version:
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app on your Vision Pro.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Download beta 4 when it becomes available here.
Do not do anything on your Vision Pro when the installation is in progress. It’s best that you let it sit on a table until everything is complete.
visionOS 2.2 adds brings an extremely important feature to Vision Pro – ultra-wide screen support for Mac Virtual Display. This means your productivity is about to receive a massive boost.
Since Apple has released beta 4 today, it remains to be seen whether or not the full and final version of VisionOS 2.2 will become available next week or the week after.
