Starting next year, WhatsApp will not work on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 5s.

If your device is currently running iOS 15.1 or older, you will no longer be able to run WhatsApp. This basically means the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 5s will no longer support the app going forward.
Do keep in mind iPhones older than the ones mentioned above dropped support for WhatsApp quite some time back, and it’s only obvious that more models will join the list going forward.
The exact date when WhatsApp stops working on the above devices is May 5, 2025.
So, what can you do to keep using WhatsApp? The only option is to upgrade to a newer iPhone model. You really can’t do anything else at this point.
If you are on a tight budget, it’s best to go for a renewed iPhone with Face ID. iPhone 11 or the iPhone 12 are absolutely fantastic options even in 2024.
Do keep in mind Apple has nothing to do with the drop in support. These things are absolutely normal. Developers stop supporting older devices over time.
