Wondering how much storage space Apple Intelligence requires on iPhone, iPad, and Mac? It’s 7GB, according to Apple.
Apple Intelligence is Using 7GB of Storage Space on Your iPhone, iPad and Mac
The thing is, this number has actually changed in a short period of time. It used to be just 4GB when iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 Sequoia were released.
As more Apple Intelligence features arrive, it was only a matter of time before AI would start using more storage space, and it definitely has.
If you head over to Apple’s Support website right now, it says clear as day that you need 7GB of storage space in order to enable Apple Intelligence on your device.
As more features arrive, you can expect this number to get slightly bigger.
The bad news here is, you can’t free up storage space unless you turn off Apple Intelligence completely. If you want some of that precious storage back, make sure you check out this tutorial.
There is also a chance Apple might just figure out how to make this number small over time. If that doesn’t happen, then base storage devices might not be a good option going forward.
