According to CEO Tim Cook, Apple Intelligence is all set to receive support for 8 new languages in the month of April.

Tim Cook Reveals Support for 8 New Languages for Apple Intelligence in April Along with Potential iOS 18.4 Release Time Frame

The announcement came during its Q1 2025 earnings call, and these are the new languages that will be supported by Apple Intelligence in April:

  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Chinese (Simplified)

The support for these languages won’t just arrive out of thin air, and with this announcement, Tim Cook has hinted at when iOS 18.4 will be released as well – the month of April.

Apple is going to release the first beta of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 any time now, with the final version of the update expected to arrive sometime in April.

So, if this news is anything to go by, we have an ‘official’ confirmation of the new software’s arrival.

If you have an iPhone or iPad that is compatible with Apple Intelligence, the news about iOS 18.4 should sound exciting as it will introduce an upgraded version of Siri.

This version of Siri will understand personal context and will be able to make in-app actions for you whenever needed. This is truly the upgrade everyone has been asking for.

Do keep in mind that the ‘true’ Siri upgrade will arrive with iOS 19 and beyond. That is when the assistant will start to go head-on with the likes of ChatGPT.
