Looking to take photos with zero processing on iPhone? Here are the two apps I personally use for it.

Shoot Photos with Zero Processing Right on Your iPhone With Two of My Favorite Apps

When you press that shutter button, the image goes through a lot of processing before it is saved on your iPhone. For most people, the output is absolutely fine.

However, if you’re eager to try something new, or believe your iPhone is overdoing the processing bit, then welcome yourself to the world of zero processing photography.

The idea is simple: the moment you press the shutter button, the photo goes through near zero processing before it is saved to your iPhone.

The end result looks way different compared to a regular iPhone photo, and it definitely looks nice. It has a retro vibe to it and has a hint of a photo taken using a pocket camera.

Though there are a ton of zero-processing photo apps available on the App Store at this point, there are only two I recommend to everyone.

Zerocam

This app takes minimalism to the next level. There’s just one button in the app, and the moment you press it, it saves the photo to your iPhone, with zero processing.

Zerocam for iPhone is an extremely minimal camera app.

I will go as far as saying that the developer went overboard with the simplicity, and that’s why I love it.

The app is absolutely free to download and use; however, you are limited to shooting a few photos per day before the counter resets. If you want to shoot more images, then you have to pay up.

Halide

If you’re serious about photography, then you know about Halide already. Apart from all the manual controls the app provides, you get a ‘Process Zero’ option as well.

Basically, Halide is a complete toolkit, rather than just a camera app. It has everything you need to shoot the best photos using your iPhone, and taking zero-processing images is a part of it.

Halide doesn’t come cheap. You do get a 7-day trial to check out the app, then you get the option for an annual subscription or buy the app forever.

That ‘forever’ will set you back $59.99. It’s steep, and that’s why I will recommend Zerocam if you are only shooting photos with zero processing, nothing else.
