Only recently, Grok AI became available to everyone without a Premium membership on X – web and app, both. Now, the AI chatbot is now available as a standalone app for iPhone and iPad.
As you’d expect, the chatbot will answer all your questions, help you write stuff, generate images, and so on.
The answers you get are based on up-to-date information available on X and the web. But again, as with any chatbot, including ChatGPT, it is advised that you double-check your answers.
Grok is a nice option to have around, especially for devices that did not get the Apple Intelligence update.

The one thing I absolutely love about Grok is this – it supports the iPad as well and does not scale up the iPhone version of the app, like Instagram.
I’m glad Grok now exists as a standalone app, allowing users to access the AI chatbot directly without involving themselves with the social media aspect.
Same goes for Gemini, which was just recently launched as a standalone app for iPhone, allowing users to not deal with ‘search’ and jump directly into AI instead.
Given how many options now exist on iPhones, you can always jump between them to get refined answers and get help with productivity tasks.
