The iOS 19 Camera app has been revealed, and it takes massive cues from visionOS that currently only lives on Vision Pro.
Massive Leak Shows the iOS 19 Camera App and How it Works, Looks Similar to visionOS UI
We are not that far away from iOS 19 and iPadOS 19. Believe it or not, we are just over four months away from the announcement at WWDC 2025.
However, the first major leak has hit the internet, thanks to Front Page Tech.
Apple is completely redoing the Camera app design-wise, and it looks similar to the visionOS UI. That definitely looks refreshing, and I hope Apple goes ahead with this design and does not keep the current UI in place because it now looks ancient.
Controls are now extremely simple – you get the option to choose between Photo and Video at the bottom. Once inside Photo or Video, you get options to choose the type of photo you want to shoot, such as Portrait, Spatial, and more.
You also get a far more useful way of choosing video resolution as well as frame-rate.
However, the thing that stands out the most is the use of transparent UI elements throughout.
Do keep in mind that the leak you see in the video is a recreation of the actual thing that was sent to Front Page Tech. But it gives us a clear image of the things to come this summer.
Another key feature of the iOS 19 update is a far more capable Siri, but it may not be available at launch. But that’s something everyone should look forward to.
Apart from that, iOS 19 is expected to be available for every single iPhone out there that can run iOS 18. But of course, not every feature will be available on all models. This is something to be expected at this point.
I do expect a lot more leaks to pop up after this one as we approach the announcement date of iOS 19 and the release of the first developer beta.
