The word on the street is: Apple’s upcoming iPad 11 will include the A17 Pro chip, and it will enable AI features at a low price.

Apple iPad 11 is Going to be a Solid Upgrade with the A17 Pro Chip

iPad 11 has been rumored to arrive for a while now, and it’s the worst time to buy the currently available iPad 10.

With several reports flying around suggesting the iPad 11 will include Apple Intelligence, a report by Bloomberg says Apple’s entry-level tablet will ship with the A17 Pro chip.

If the name of the chip sounds familiar, it’s because it is. It’s the same chip which powers the iPhone 15 Pro lineup as well as the recently launched iPad mini 7.

With that chip living in the heart of iPad 11, you can expect all the Apple Intelligence features out of the box.

If this report turns out to be accurate, then it will put the iPad mini in a strange position. Because for a lower price of $349 (assuming Apple doesn’t change it), you’re basically getting the same performance as the iPad mini along with a larger display.

However, both tablets are designed in such a way that if you choose one over the other, you lose some and you gain some.

With the larger display, you lose support for Apple Pencil Pro – things like that.

But, if you’re all about saving money in the end, then the iPad 11 is definitely a fantastic choice. Again, assuming Apple doesn’t change its price of $349 at all.

I always tell people that they do not need the top-end model iPad to get the most out of iPadOS. Now that the iPad 11 is near, with its powerful new chip, that recommendation stands true more than ever.

Apple really knows how to deliver excellent value that will last you several years.
