A brand-new report sheds light on the iPhone 17 Air’s thickness and price, a phone that is going to replace the iPhone Plus.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Slim is Set to be the Company’s Slimmest Smartphone to Date, Even Slimmer than iPhone 6
I want to call the smartphone the iPhone 17 Slim, but it seems as though iPhone 17 Air is a far more fitting name, so let’s go with that moving forward.
According to the report by Sisa Journal, Apple is going to release the iPhone 17 Air later this year, and it will be extremely thin. How thin? 6.25mm only. This is going to be the thinnest iPhone to date.
Do keep in mind that this information is not entirely brand new, as a previous report did touch on this particular topic.
Other than that, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to replace the iPhone Plus, and since the Air is replacing that, you can expect it to be priced at $899.
However, I have my reservations about that price.
Given the amount of effort Apple is putting into this phone, I have a feeling that it may start at around $999 and may see a drop in price later next year when its successor comes out.
In terms of specs, the iPhone 17 Air is not going to be a huge breakthrough. Apple may ship it without a second speaker and it may not even have mmWave 5G.
It’s clear that this iPhone focuses more on how it looks and less on what’s inside.
