A test conducted using Siri shows the assistant is not as knowledgeable compared to ChatGPT and others.
Siri Marvelously Fails a Basic Knowledge Test on the Latest iOS 18.2.1 Update with Apple Intelligence Enabled
It’s no hidden surprise that Siri needs work. A lot of work.
Given how good ChatGPT, Gemini, and Meta AI are, it makes you wonder where Siri stands in this day and age, right?
Apparently, it’s not even standing. It’s chilling outside and doing nothing.
A test conducted by One Foot Tsunami reveals how bad Siri is when it comes to knowledge regarding the Super Bowl.
The conclusion of the test is this: Siri only got 34% of the answers right, which is quite poor.
A total of 58 questions were asked, and Siri only got 20 right.
The thing is, Siri has been this bad for a long time. You expect some sort of improvement over time, but nothing has materialized so far.
What makes things worse is that this test was conducted on iOS 18.2.1 with Apple Intelligence enabled.
At this point, you start to wonder what the assistant is actually good for. For me, it’s only good for setting reminders, adding things to the calendar, and that’s about it.
Or maybe setting up that occasional timer, too.
Apart from that, I never ask it questions that may be slightly ‘technical.’ I just refer to the ChatGPT integration when things are about to get serious.
Now, it’s rumored that Apple is going to release a far more capable Siri with iOS 19. Though this sounds like great news, I personally believe it will still be several steps behind ChatGPT.
Do you think Siri will ever be able to rival ChatGPT and others?
