Vision Pro users, you can now download the visionOS 2.3 RC update on your headset right now.

visionOS 2.3 RC Released with Many Bug Fixes and Other Improvements for the Vision Pro Headset

Things are doing well in the Vision Pro camp, and Apple has released visionOS 2.3 RC for the headset.

If you have been testing out visionOS 2.3 beta for a while, then you can grab the new update by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

It’s best that you don’t play around with the headset while the update is downloading and installing. Once everything is complete, you can resume with your mixed reality business as usual.

visionOS 2.3 will become available for everyone to download next week. If you’ve been waiting for Apple to squash a few bugs, you’ll be in for a treat.

Though this update may not be exciting, one thing is clear – the current version of Vision Pro may never get Apple Intelligence.

Apple’s silence on the matter makes it even worse.

I do wish Apple has a surprise in store for everyone. Rather than make users purchase a new headset for Apple Intelligence, the current one deserves a bit of AI action, given how powerful the hardware already is.

If the M1 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM can get Apple Intelligence, I’m sure it shouldn’t be a problem for a headset that packs the M2 chip.

However, it turns out a new Vision Pro headset is definitely coming soon with a faster processor, and I’m sure AI is going to be its main selling point.

In fact, a recent rumor says that the cheaper model has been delayed, and Apple is currently working on the Pro model with the M5 chip.
