There Are Plenty of Cases Available Already that Add the MagSafe Magnets to iPhone 16e
MagSafe is probably the most shocking omission from the iPhone 16e. At this point, you expect this feature to ship as standard with any new iPhone. But not on the 16e.
Do keep one thing in mind: while the 16e does not include MagSafe magnets, you can still use Apple’s MagSafe Charger to wirelessly charge the phone itself. It just won’t charge at fast speeds nor attach to the back of the iPhone in a snap.
The charging speeds will be limited to just 7.5W. Nothing beyond that.
You can remedy the lack of magnets by simply buying a case that has the magnets built into it. But do know that this will keep the charging speeds at 7.5W. It won’t magically take it all the way to 15W or even 25W.
Other than that, once the magnets are added, you will be able to use all your favorite MagSafe accessories with your 16e as well.
