watchOS 11.4 beta 1 for Apple Watch is now available for download if you’re a developer.

Apple Seeds First Beta of watchOS 11.4 to Developers, Available for Download Right Away

As expected, the first beta of watchOS 11.4 is now available for download. If you own an Apple Watch and happen to be a developer, you can go right ahead and install the update on your device right now.

Assuming you’re already signed up to the Apple Developer Program, you can enable over-the-air updates by going to Watch > General > Software Update > Beta Updates on your iPhone.

Once you’re here, choose watchOS 11 Developer Beta to start receiving over-the-air updates for watchOS 11.4 beta.

Just go to the Software Update page, and you’ll instantly see watchOS 11.4 available for download.

Before you make the move to install watchOS 11.4 beta, please know that you cannot downgrade back to software that is available for consumers. Apple doesn’t allow anyone to do that yet, and it’s something everyone should know before installing beta updates.

If there is anything new and important in this update, I will definitely highlight it. But chances are this is nothing more than a bug fix release with important security patches as well.

In other words, it’s still a very important update.

Apple will most likely make this beta update available to public beta testers as well. It usually takes a couple of weeks to do that, but it’s well worth the wait.

Though we don’t have any official release date, it’s easy to assume watchOS 11.4 will be released for everyone in April. That’s the time when Apple is planning to expand language support for Apple Intelligence, and it can only do that with a software update.

Hence, it’s safe to assume April is going to be the month you should look forward to.
