Apple has released iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4 and visionOS 2.4 beta updates. Here’s everything that is new.

iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4 are Interesting Updates, but the Fun Lies in Vision Pro

I’m going to start things off with visionOS 2.4 because that’s where the excitement lies, because Apple is finally bringing Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro headset.

Apple Intelligence Comes to Vision Pro

First and foremost, all Apple Intelligence features from iPhone, iPad, and Mac are available on Vision Pro. This includes Writing Tools, Image Playground, and Genmoji.

Spatial Gallery

A new Spatial Gallery app is also included with visionOS 2.4. This is the place where you can find all your spatial content for Vision Pro. Things like spatial photos, videos, panoramas, and more from artists, filmmakers, and photographers can be found here.

Proper Guest Mode Comes to Vision Pro

With iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and visionOS 2.4, Guest Mode comes to Vision Pro. Just select which apps the ‘guest’ user can see and access from Control Center using your phone or tablet, and away you go sharing your headset with someone else.

But wait, this is the best part: eye and hand setup data is stored for 30 days, allowing you to share Vision Pro with the same person again without going through the tedious setup process for eye and hand tracking.

iOS 18.4’s Mail App Comes to iPadOS 18.4 and macOS 15.4

Apple’s all-new Mail app that made its debut on iPhone with ‘Categories’ is finally available on the iPad and Mac. For me, it’s an extremely useful update, and I’m glad it’s finally rolling out on other devices.

iOS 18.4 Gets New Vision Pro App

An all-new Vision Pro app is now available for iPhone with iOS 18.4, allowing you to find all the content for your Vision Pro in one place. It’s like the Watch app for Apple Watch, so that should give you an idea of what it’s about.

New Food Section Comes to News+ in iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4

Love food? We all do. A brand-new Food section makes its way to the News+ app. You’ll find recipes, news, tips, kitchen-related stuff, and more in one place.

Basically, it’s all your food-related news in one place.

Everything Else

Remember Priority Notifications Apple announced last year? That’s now available in iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4. When turned on, it will show you your important notifications first. It’s an Apple intelligence feature.

Apple has tossed in a new Ambient Music toggle to Control Center. Once you get it up and running, you get access to four sound categories: Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Wellbeing.
