The M4 MacBook Air is set for release in March, but the first graphics benchmark of the new notebook has already appeared online.
Apple M4 MacBook Air Performs the Same as M4 iPad Pro in Graphics, According to Geekbench Benchmark
The MacBook Air is not exactly known for its graphics prowess since it lacks an active cooling system. But, a new Geekbench score has appeared online that shows what we can expect from the notebook.
The ‘computer’ most similar to the M4 MacBook Air right now is the M4 iPad Pro. Both are powered by the M4, and both are fanless. So, that should give us a good idea what we can expect from the MacBook Air, right?
Absolutely, because the benchmark score that has appeared online has a Metal score of exactly 55,516. Compared to the M4 iPad Pro which scored 54,228 in the same test, we’re not too far off.

So there you have it. You now know how the M4 MacBook Air will perform when it comes to graphics, and it’s more than enough.
The benchmark also shows that the M4 MacBook Air from the test has a 10-core CPU and 24GB of RAM.
It’s likely that the base model will ship with 16GB of RAM, and the above model is a slightly upgraded one.
The upgraded MacBook Air will become available sometime in March, which is not too far away from now.
If you have been thinking about getting a MacBook Air lately, it’s best you hold back from buying one. This notebook will suddenly appear out of nowhere in a press release.
