The MacBook Air and iPad Air are due for a refresh, and stocks of current models are starting to dwindle at Apple Stores.

M4 MacBook Air and Upgraded iPad Air are Right Around the Corner as Stock Start to Dwindle Across Apple Stores

If you’ve been following Apple news for a while, then you already know how things go.

Whenever an Apple product is due for a refresh, the current model starts to go out of stock slowly and gradually. This is happening with the MacBook Air and iPad Air at Apple Stores, according to Bloomberg.

What this means is, if you’ve been planning to pick up a MacBook Air or an iPad Air for yourself or someone else, you may want to hold back from that purchase as an upgrade is right around the corner.

On the MacBook Air end, a refreshed model with M4 can be expected. And given the iPhone SE 4 is all set for launch as early as next week, who knows Apple might throw in a MacBook Air along with that announcement as well.

With just a chip upgrade, the MacBook Air should see a significant boost in performance while keeping the design absolutely the same.

On the iPad Air end, things are slightly unknown.

While the design will definitely be the same as the current M2 model, whether it will come with the M3 or M4 chip is a mystery.

Whichever chip the iPad Air ends up getting, it will still be faster than the M2 model. And that’s exactly what a buyer wants to hear.

Another product that is due for an upgrade is the entry-level iPad. It is said that this model will get the A17 Pro chip while keeping everything else the same.

The chip upgrade means the tablet will give users access to Apple Intelligence features at a very low price point. But even if you don’t use AI features, you get a massive RAM upgrade to 8GB, which is far more important for an average user than anything else.

I will suggest holding off from buying any Apple product for at least a couple of weeks.
