You can stop wondering when the new M4 MacBook Air will arrive, as a new report says it will launch by March.
13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air with M4 Chip is Set for Launch by March
If you’ve been holding off from buying the MacBook Air because you believe a refresh is on its way, you’re absolutely right.
According to Mark Gurman in his PowerOn newsletter, the refreshed MacBook Air with M4 chip is set to launch by March.
In case you’re wondering, that’s the same time period in which the M3 MacBook Air was launched last year as well. So, it’s fitting to launch a new one in the beginning of March, if not later.
We can expect both the 13-inch and 15-inch models to be refreshed with the M4 chip. The design won’t likely change, and both laptops will definitely ship with 16GB of base RAM.
However, I do expect the new MacBook Air to be extremely powerful when it comes to driving external displays and connecting accessories. This is extremely evident by the launch of the recent MacBook Pro laptops.
I doubt the new MacBook Air will get the Thunderbolt 5 at all, since Apple is offering that as a ‘Pro’ feature only.
A report from a while back suggested that the new MacBook Air would arrive before the iPhone SE and iPad 11.
The iPhone SE is set to be announced this week, as Tim Cook posted a teaser for it on X last week. So you can expect a bunch of exciting things to happen this week, including the release of iOS 18.4 beta.
The iPad 11 will likely appear out of thin air as a press release, but I’m hoping for good airtime from Apple for it. After all, it’s Apple’s cheapest iPad, and the best way to bring Apple Intelligence into the hands of a lot of people.
