iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 Beta 2 Now Available for Download with Small Changes

iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 are all set for release in April with a bunch of great new changes for iPhone and iPad users. However, the software is currently in beta, and Apple has released the second one for developers today.

You can read more about the changes by going to this link.

Whenever a new beta arrives, you can expect it to fix a ton of bugs and improve performance. I’m sure Apple has moved things around in this beta as well.

If there’s anything new and noteworthy in this update, I’ll highlight it for everyone to check out.

But the one thing that instantly stands out in this update is the added support for iPhone 16e. If you have that phone in your pocket, you can test out iOS 18.4 beta on it right now.

If you have already installed the first developer beta on your device, then installing the second one is a walk in the park. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap on Update Now.

First-timers have to sign up to the Apple Developer Program, enable beta updates, and then download everything going forward. You can read more about it by going here.

Interestingly, the update is available for public beta testers as well, and it’s a great way to get onboard with iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 without much effort. More details can be found here.

If you’re reading this and want to downgrade back to the publicly available firmware, you can totally do that. But do keep in mind that downgrading a beta is not a straightforward thing to do. You’ll find all the details posted here.
