iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 16 to Bring Massive Redesigns with visionOS-like Elements
I’m not going to talk about Apple Intelligence at all since it’s the sort of thing that will take a while to fully roll out and mature. Keeping that in mind, Apple still has something big in mind for iOS 19 and macOS 16, and it’s not AI.
According to information shared by Bloomberg, Apple is planning the biggest redesign to iOS and macOS in its history.
It’s already been revealed that Apple is planning to take some cues from visionOS and bring them over to iPhone and Mac, which will make for a consistent user experience. That’s exactly what Apple is planning to do, according to the latest report.
Apple is going to use transparent menus throughout the system, along with new windows and buttons. This will fundamentally change how we use our iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
While this is definitely exciting stuff, if history has taught us anything, it’s that the use of transparent menus will mean we are going to drop a ton of frames every now and then. It will be interesting to see if every single device gets transparent menus or will it just be a high-end iphone
Apple is going to announce these changes at WWDC 2025, and it’s not too far away from now. We all have to wait until June for everything to be officially revealed.
