iPhone Mirroring has been a well-received feature among users around the world, but it might not make it to the EU with iOS 18.4.
Regulatory Uncertainty Keeping iPhone Mirroring from Being Released in EU with iOS 18.4
With iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence is finally coming to the EU. A lot of people thought AI would be accompanied by iPhone Mirroring as well.
With the iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 RC now available, it has been confirmed that iPhone Mirroring is still missing in the EU.
The reason why the feature is missing is regulatory uncertainty due to the Digital Markets Act.
While the feature is missing from the RC version, there is a chance it might just roll out with the full and final version of the update. But I wouldn’t hold my breath for it at all.
Another feature that remains missing is SharePlay Screen Sharing.
I really, really hope the complete iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 feature set comes to the EU soon because things like iPhone Mirroring are extremely useful.
