Apple has just announced the brand-new M4 MacBook Air. Here are all the features, pricing, and availability details.

New 2025 MacBook Air with M4 Chip, Sky Blue Color Option, Low Price and More

This upgraded MacBook Air was a long time coming and I’ll talk about the things that have changed and are immediately noticeable.

MacBook Air Gets the M4 Chip

This is the only reason why you want the new MacBook Air – that new M4 chip. It’s finally here, and it features a 10-core CPU and up to 10-core GPU.

The base, entry model of the notebook features a 10-core CPU and an 8-core GPU. But do keep in mind that this sort of difference does not affect performance in the real world.

You also get a 16-core Neural Engine across the board, allowing you to take full advantage of the chip’s AI capabilities. What this means is, Apple Intelligence is going to soar without skipping a beat.

Apple says the new MacBook Air will deliver up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. More than enough? Way more.

Center Stage

Apple has been throwing in a Center Stage camera in pretty much everything. From the iMac to the new MacBook Pro, the new MacBook Air is getting it too today.

It’s a 12-megapixel camera, and it’s ultra-wide, which means it will keep you sharp, centered, and give you access to features like Desk View.

Enhanced External Display Support

The MacBook Air is a beast when it comes to external displays this time around. It can drive up to two external 6K monitors at the same time, including the built-in Liquid Retina display.

Connectivity

This is something that should be mentioned: the new MacBook Air features a total of two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side, and both are USB 4 compatible as well. This means you can connect your supported gear and enjoy speeds of up to 40Gbps.

Pricing and Availability

Apple is slightly changing the price of the MacBook Air this time around. The 13-inch MacBook Air now starts at $999, while the 15-inch model will set you back $1,199.

And just like before, you get 16GB of RAM on all base models.

Both 13-inch and 15-inch models are available in the following colors: Sky Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Silver.

Apple says you can pre-order the new MacBook Air today, and it will be available for pickup in stores on March 12.
