A new report suggests that there are internal conflicts regarding the next Apple Watch SE and it may or may not be plastic.

Apple Watch SE 3 Might End up Being Aluminum as Conflicts within Apple Arise Over Use of Plastic

The current Apple Watch SE was launched in 2022, and it’s been complete silence from Apple since.

I’m pretty sure you got reminded of Apple Watch SE’s existence today.

Well, it’s back in the news, and reportedly it’s seeing some conflict within Apple on whether or not the company should use plastic or go ahead with aluminum.

All rumors said that Apple Watch SE 3 was set to use rigid plastic in favor of aluminum to cut down cost.

But, internally, the design team does not like how the plastic looks and feels while the operation team says plastic isn’t cheaper to produce than aluminum.

What Apple ends up using with the next-generation Apple Watch SE is entirely up for debate. There is a chance it might be plastic, there’s a chance Apple might just stick with aluminum.

But secretly, I want Apple to go all-in on plastic. We haven’t seen a rigid plastic Apple Watch to this day. Who knows, it might just work among buyers, as long as it doesn’t feel cheap compared to aluminum.
