YouTube has confirmed that it has fixed an issue that may cause poor-quality streaming on iPhone and iPad devices.

iPhone and iPad Users Can Now Stream in Full Quality as YouTube has Fixed the Known Issue

For the past few days, several users reported low-quality video streaming from YouTube on their iPhones and iPads. If you manually bump up the resolution to higher quality, the video would go into buffering instead of improving.

Needless to say, everything felt broken, but thankfully, YouTube acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix.

Today, YouTube has confirmed that the issue is now fixed for iPhone and iPad users. You can launch the app, try streaming once again, and everything should be just fine.

Whether you’re playing video in 1080p or in 4K, the issue is now resolved for everyone around the globe. But do keep in mind it may take a while for the fix to roll out to everyone, therefore a little bit of patience will go a long way.

This issue was affecting the quality of Shorts as well, and that should be fixed too.
