You can download iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 beta 1 on your iPhone and iPad right now.

Download and Install the Latest iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 Developer Beta 1 on iPhone and iPad Today

Apple released iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 on Monday, and already the company has seeded the first beta of iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5.

If you’re enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, all you have to do is enable developer updates from Settings > General > Software Updates > Beta Updates and select iOS 18 Developer Beta.

Once that is done, the new iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 beta will show right up for download in Software Update. Tap on Update Now at the bottom to begin download.

Given it’s a very early beta, it will be a while until we find out what’s exactly new here, so be patient; it’s going to be worth the wait.

I will suggest installing the beta on a spare device rather than your primary one, unless you’re looking for trouble and love using beta software on a daily driver device.

At the time of writing, the public beta of iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 isn’t available for download. It should be available within a couple of weeks.

When it is available, go to beta.apple.com and sign up with your Apple Account, and then enable public beta updates by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.

Don’t worry, I will inform everyone whenever the public beta is out. For now, let’s all focus on the stuff that’s new in this update. I hope there’s a surprise or two, or three.

Who knows!
