Massive iOS 19 Leak Gives us a Neat Glimpse at the UI we can Expect this Year on Our iPhone
iOS 19 is set for announcement in June at WWDC 2025. The software is rumored to be a massive redesign and will take heavy cues from visionOS.
A new leak from Front Page Tech on YouTube gives us a look into an early build of iOS 19, and it has a lot of things that are worth noting.
Do keep in mind that what you see below is a recreation of the actual leak itself. Most likely to protect the identity of the person who leaked the information from Apple.
First and foremost, the Home Screen icons are likely going to be round. It’s hard to tell if they’re perfectly round or round-ish. Whatever happens, be ready to say goodbye to the current shape of app icons.
Secondly, Apple is going to use a lot of floating bars. From the looks of it, there’s a floating search bar in the Messages app too, while the keyboard gets an interesting little redesign too.
Apple is really, really doubling down on rounded corners and UI elements. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of all this, but it is definitely going to be a refreshing sight since we’ve been seeing the same thing for the past many years.
The glassy effect is actually quite interesting, and you can see it around app icons and Lock Screen controls as well. Apparently, when you move your iPhone around, the glass reflections move too.
I suggest that you watch the entire video below for more details:
iOS 19 is going to be compatible with a ton of iPhones and iPads while some devices will lose support this year.
